Are you ready to take the first step on a creative journey? Why not have a go at papercraft? Using a set of easy to follow instructions, you can build one of Wintercroft's incredible 3D mask designs in a workshop which will inspire you to share your creativity with the world.
Wintercroft's striking sculptural 3D masks take inspiration from distinctive 'Low Poly' 3D objects. A simple 3D shape, Low Poly 3D objects have strong links to early computer video games, where they were used to produce computer graphics, carefully designed to use computer processing power and memory as sparingly as possible. Wintercroft uses paper modelling to transport these digital Low Poly models into the real world as incredible eye-catching physical objects you can touch and interact with.
This paper modelling workshop will hone your skills in cutting and folding and encourage you to let your imagination run wild when decorating your completed mask. Perfectly timed to celebrate Halloween, this is your chance to build an amazing fancy dress head-piece with so much wow-factor it will make your friends jealous!
Terms and Conditions
This workshop is designed for children aged eight and over.
Children MUST be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop.
All adults in addition to the accompanying adult are required to purchase an entry ticket to the museum when a child ticket is purchased
Your workshop ticket includes entry to the Museum, allowing you to explore and be inspired by our extraordinary collection whilst you are here.
All equipment and material needed for the construction of your mask during this workshop will be provided by the Museum.
