Library

Our library has a broad collection of computing books from the early computing days to the present.

You can view the contents of the library on https://opac.libraryworld.com/opac/home.php

To use the library onsite, please email the Curatorial team at: museum@tnmoc.org

Archive

We currently have archival holdings which consist of documents, photographs, social history items, and papers pertaining to computers and computing.

We also hold magazines, software, games, and manuals.

We are currently working our way through this extensive collection to list, catalogue and digitise what we hold so that it can be made readily available for researchers.

Computer Weekly Archive

As part of our archive, we are very fortunate to have been given custody of the complete Computer Weekly archive which includes all the publications and the many thousands of images used in them.

Visitors to the museum can glimpse the world of computing 25 and 40 years ago through a changing display of back copies of Computer Weekly.

Researchers are also able to book some time to view these items in detail.

Research

As we work our way through our collection to list, catalogue and digitise what we hold in our archives, we will monitor research requests and where we can accommodate, we will help. If we are unable to support you with your ask, we will try and offer another solution to finding what you need.

In the first instance, please email museum@tnmoc.org – all research requests have to be submitted in writing.

Online Collection

Here you will find a range of objects from our hardware, software, archive and social history collection. We are showing representative objects and we will be aiming to represent all brands in our collection. Please continue to check this page as we will be adding objects regularly.
