In 2013, the museum team embarked on a transformative journey with the launch of Bytes Festivals at the National Museum of Computing. The mission was clear: to empower our visitors, to foster engagement, exploration, and most importantly, fun with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). We set out to inspire, create opportunities for learning, and unite families, all while ensuring that STEM education was accessible to everyone.
Now, celebrating the 10th anniversary of Bytes Festivals, We are filled with immense pride for the achievements of our incredible team. Together, we've not only met our objectives but have surpassed them in ways that fill our hearts with joy.
Our Bytes Festivals have been an essential component of our success story. These events have been more than just educational gatherings; they've been moments of pure wonder and discovery. Witnessing the excitement in young minds as they delve into the world of coding, robotics, and technology has been truly inspiring.
The Ambassador Kids Club stands as a testament to our commitment to nurturing young talent. Watching these future scientists, engineers, and innovators collaborate, share ideas, and create has been nothing short of amazing. They represent the promise of a future where STEM knows no bounds, and we are privileged to be part of their journey.
Our Sandford Awarded Learning Program has set a high standard for excellence in education. Through this program, we have not only imparted knowledge; we have ignited a lifelong passion for learning. We have encouraged students to question, explore, and unearth the incredible possibilities within the realm of computing.
But our impact reaches far beyond our own walls. Through collaboration with partners and sponsors who share our vision, we have bridged digital skills gaps and reached communities we might never have dreamed of. We have supported individuals from neurodiverse communities, empowering them with the tools and knowledge to thrive in the digital age. We have inspired young women, breaking barriers and encouraging them to pursue STEM careers. We have uplifted disadvantaged families, offering them a pathway to a brighter, more inclusive future.
The team, partners and sponsors reflect their achievements, and remain steadfast in their commitment. The journey does not end here, it only gets more exciting. Together, we will continue supporting, inspiring, and making STEM accessible to all. Thank you to our team, partners, sponsors, and every individual who has been part of this incredible voyage.
Here's to a future where STEM knows no boundaries and where everyone has the opportunity to explore, learn, and dream.

About The National Museum of Computing
The National Museum of Computing brings to life the history and ongoing development of computing for the enjoyment and benefit of the general public and specialists. The Museum combines a distinctive approach to engagement with an emphasis on British computing heritage and on-going innovation. TNMOC acquires, conserves, restores and rebuilds historic computing machinery. Our approach is furthered through a process of engagement, with the display and demonstration of historical systems. The Museum runs a highly successful learning programme for schools and colleges and introduces computer coding to young people to help inspire the next generation of computer scientists and engineers. The Museum also runs a popular, on-going program of festivals, lectures and interpreted displays and interactive events.
